What's Up @ Plantation UMC?

Bake Sale | November 11th & November 18th
Our talented Youth Choir is raising funds to go on tour next June! For the next two Sundays, the Youth Choir will sell delicious, home-made baked goods in the Fellowship Hall. Stop by between and after services on November 11th and 18th and pick up a few items. With your help, the Youth Choir will be able to share their music and message with others!

Interfaith Thanksgiving Service | Tuesday, November 20th
Join the clergy and congregations from synagogues and churches around Plantation for an Interfaith Thanksgiving Service. We will pray for healing as we worship God together. The service is at St. Benedict’s Episcopal Church (7801 NW 5th Street) on Tuesday, November 20th at 7pm. A love offering for Women In Distress will be collected.

Thanksgiving Dinner | November 22nd
Thanksgiving is right around the corner!! If you’d like to join your Plantation UMC family for dinner at 2:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall, please sign up in the lobby. Invite a friend, neighbor, or someone you think would enjoy Christian fellowship on this holiday. Bring your favorite dish; we’d love to share it! And maybe a card with the recipe and your name on it! If not, there will be plenty to eat and friends to eat with. If you’ll join us, please let us know. Contact Pat Hance at 954-830-7234.

Drivers Needed - Bread Ministry
The Bread Ministry is a way we spread God’s love through the welcoming of those who visit our church. Each Sunday, freshly baked bread is delivered to our first time visitors. We are looking for volunteers! If you would like to be a part of this beautiful ministry, please contact Rose Brooks at rose.brooks6@aol.com or call the church office.

Congregational Care
Caring for our family of faith is an important aspect of our community life at Plantation UMC. However, we can only respond to the need or concern if we know it exists! If you, or anyone you know, has need of congregational support, please let us know by calling the church office at 954-584-7500 or sending email to office@pumc.net. Thank you so much!

Chapel Bells Seek New Ringers
Our Chapel Bell choir is seeking new ringers! Now under the direction of Plantation UMC member Chris Cary, it’s the perfect time to try bells for the first time! No prior bell experience necessary. Can you count to 4? Do you know what quarter notes, eighth notes, and half notes are? Then you could play bells! If you’re interested, contact Pastor Kathy at knolasco@pumc.net.

PUMC Library AND Resource Center
The Library Team is constantly adding new books and multimedia resources to our collection, including subjects related to the sermon topics. Stop by room 308 on Sunday to see what’s new! For additional information, or to join the Library Team, contact Rae Carole Armstrong at rca912@gmail.com.
