Martin Luther King, Jr. / Human Relations Sunday
Sunday, January 20th
Over and over, Jesus served people with love, and that’s what we want to do as the people of Plantation UMC! In our services on January 20th, we will remember Jesus’ call to love, and Dr. King’s message of challenge and hope. Later that afternoon, at 3pm, please join us for our 23rd annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration with Dr. Smith-Baugh as our keynote speaker.

Sunday, January 20th at 7:00pm
This unique worship service is offered on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 7:00pm in the Sanctuary. Join us as we sing beautiful hymns, hear a guest musical artiste, and enjoy a message brought to us by a member of the Plantation UMC family. All are welcome!

Habitat for Humanity Volunteer Opportunity
Our first volunteer day for Habitat in 2019 is February 2nd. Please come spend 5 hours (7:30am – 12:30pm) in fellowship and have some fun building a home with those that may be living in it. We have painted interior/exterior, laid sod, finished a punch list and much more while getting some exercise. This is the perfect time of year to be outside and put some joy in others hearts. Please send Debbie an email at debgo54@gmail.com or call 954-401-3594 to sign up or with questions.

All are welcome to join us for this book and video based study as we seek to learn how God can use our ordinary gifts to make a difference in the world today.

Women of the Word (WOW)
We are a multi-generational, multi-cultural group of women who are seeking to know God better through reading books and lively discussion.
We have begun a discussion of “Messy People” by Jennifer Cowart. All women are invited to join us as we explore the stories of biblical heroes.
Contact Carolyn Curry, cabcurry@comcast.net if you have questions or wish to order a book.

Deeper Connections Sunday School Class
All are invited to join our Bible study on Sunday mornings at 11:00 a.m. focused on the Book of Acts. We will be using a study written by John Stott entitled “Acts: Seeing the Spirit at Work.” We will be exploring the early growth of the Church, the power of the Holy Spirit through Christ’s earliest followers and learn how this translates into our 21st century lives. We welcome new students of the Word and those who continue to search for its wisdom and guidance.
