Fellowship & Serving Groups
Checking out a fellowship or serving group is a great way to get to know new people, and we have many wonderful groups at Plantation UMC! You are welcome to join one or all that suit you.
UNITED METHODIST WOMEN (UMW)
The Plantation United Methodist Women are part of an international organization of over 1 million women! We are committed to ministry within the church and to mission in our community and around the world. Our small groups offer women the unique blessing to connect with a supportive community in the church. Whether it's a weekly Bible/book study, a monthly discussion group, dinner with friends, or quilting, we can find a place for you. For more information, contact the church office by email or at 954-584-7500, or visit the UMW page by clicking here.
UNITED METHODIST MEN (UMM)
The Plantation United Methodist Men will meet, Saturday morning, January 20th at 9:00am in room 305 of the Fellowship Hall. All the men of our congregation are invited. We meet for fellowship, prayer and service. Doughnuts and coffee will be served. Our devotional this month centers on the question, “What is the essence of Christianity?” It was said of Barnabas, Paul’s companion, that he encouraged the brethren in the faith. May the same be said of us! For more information, contact the church office by email or at 954-584-7500.
This unique worship is offered the 3rd Sunday of each month at 7:00pm in the Sanctuary. It is led by the people of Plantation UMC. Pastors may attend, but they're just worshipping along with everyone else as together we sing beautiful hymns, hear a guest musical artist, and enjoy a message brought to us by a member of the Plantation UMC family. It is a wonderful experience of God's love in our midst! For more information, contact Steve Touzalin by email.
BREAKING BREAD WITH FRIENDS
All women are invited! We meet at various restaurants around our community for food, fun, and Christian fellowship. For more information, contact Kathy Carter by email or at 954-533-3837.
The Altar Guild is a team of volunteers who help keep our Sanctuary ready for worship. The team keeps the pews and lobby organized, decorates for special services, and prepares the altar for Holy Communion. If you are interested in learning more about this practical, behind-the-scenes way to serve, contact Angella Lopez at by email or at 954-552-8910.
QUILTERS | Every Friday, 9:30am
Whether you've been quilting for years, or would like to try it out, we would love to have you join our fun-loving group! We create comfort quilts for those in need within our church and community including the Florida United Methodist Children's Home and Hope Women’s Center. We meet in Room 503 in the Fellowship Hall.
GETTING IT ALL TOGETHER
"Getting It All Together" is our most traditionally structured United Methodist Women's group. It is a group of women who gather together to share fellowship, joys and concerns, devotions, and the exploration of our role as women in the service of our Lord. We gladly welcome all newcomers! We meet on the second Thursday of each month, September through May at 7:30pm. We hope to see you at our next meeting! For meeting locations and questions, contact Clara Knowles by email.
